Indoor freediver – Pool course
The Indoor Freediver course caters specifically to absolute beginners with little or no prior water experience and those who have never experienced the thrill of freediving before.
All training occurs in a pool setting, as the aim of this introductory course is shifted towards encouraging the apprentice to develop essential freediving skills, such as, proper breathing & relaxation techniques and hydrodynamic movement, in an entirely safe and controlled environment.
Once the course is over, the pupil will find himself better equipped than ever to sign up for a full freediving course.
To give our trainees the best learning experience, we limit attendees to small groups.
Minors (aged 14 years or over) may also attend the course. Parental approval is required. *
*Our highly trained and experienced instructors as graduates of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), have the pedagogical competence and are thus qualified to teach minors given their legal guardian’s written consent.
At the beginning of the course, the syllabus is handed out to every student. Following its completion, videos of the student’s efforts (dives) as well as a certificate-diploma from the relevant educational organization, are provided.
Please note that, pool entrance & usage are included in the course fee.
OneBreath Freediving can also provide training equipment, if the student does not possess his/her own.
Outdoor freediver
The Outdoor Freediver course is conducted exclusively at sea. It not only aims at the development of basic freediving skills (i.e. breath-hold and relaxation techniques, hydrodynamic movement) but also provides familiarization with depth.
The teaching method is based on the regular freediving course training method. The only difference is that, all training takes place in an open water environment (at sea). This factor, in itself, makes it the ideal course for the ones residing in rural areas, where access to a swimming pool is often scarce or trying.
OneBreath Freediving can also provide training equipment, if the student does not possess his/her own.
Apnea Experience & Discovery
Having lifted the training barrier, this introductive and familiarization course enables the student to safely experience and discover the underwater world.
You’ll learn everything from basic breathing and equalization to underwater finning techniques.
The course includes both theoretical and practical sessions (in a classroom and at sea, respectively). Once the course is over, the student will have acquired a well-rounded skill set to join a level 1* Freediver course.
Minors (aged 12 years or over) may also attend the course. Parental approval is required. *
